FamiCord Group’s Dubai Laboratory Earns Prestigious AABB Accreditation

Dubai, UAE – [3.06.2025] – FamiCord Group, the largest cord blood bank in Europe, proudly announces that its state-of-the-art laboratory in Dubai has received the prestigious accreditation from the Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies (AABB) – a globally recognized standard of excellence in the field of cellular and blood banking services.

FamiCord Group’s laboratory in Dubai, officially opened one year ago, is the newest facility in the Group’s international network. Strategically located to serve the rapidly growing markets of the Middle East, the laboratory was established to meet the highest global standards in stem cell processing and storage. Laboratory is operated by FamiCord’s subsidiary- Smart Cells International. “The opening of our Dubai laboratory marked a significant milestone for Smart Cells Middle East and the entire FamiCord Group – it reflects our commitment to bringing world-class stem cell services closer to families in the region,” said Hadeel AlKhazi, Country Manager of Smart Cells ME.

Earning the accreditation after one year it’s  opening confirms that highest international standards of processing are not just marketing slogan. This accreditation confirms that FamiCord’s Dubai facility meets the highest international standards for safety in the collection, processing, testing, and storage of stem cells and other cellular products. AABB accreditation is a mark of trust and reliability, underscoring FamiCord Group’s ongoing commitment to delivering world-class services to its clients.
